January 16, 2010 - Susan Riggs Tinsky is an attorney at Best Best & Krieger LLP, specializing in municipal, redevelopment and affordable housing law.

Ms. Tinsky received her J.D. magna cum laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2008 where she was a member of the Thomas Jefferson Law Review.  While in law school, Ms. Tinsky won the First Annual Public Law Section Law Student Writing Competition, sponsored by the State Bar of California, with her article, "A Tale of Two Cities: Reconsidering the Doctrinal Treatment of Monetary Exactions."  She also holds a masters degree in city planning from San Diego State University, where she was named "Outstanding Graduate of the Year," and an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia.

Ms. Tinsky is on the board of directors for Citizens for Century Coordinate 3 and Walk San Diego, and is a graduate of LEAD San Diego.  She is a member of the State Bar of California, San Diego County Bar Association, American Planners Association and the Urban Land Institute.  Ms. Tinsky is actively involved in the planning and growth of the community of North Park.  She also serves as adjunct faculty at San Diego State University where she teaches Housing Policy in the Master of City Planning program.
