- Manuel Rosen, FAIA will be discussing his views about architecture.
Mr. Rosen has over 40
years of experience in architectural practice, including significant
academic work as a professor of design at universities in Mexico
and the United States. He is currently a Professor Adjunct at Cal
Poly, Pomona, CA. He has also been awarded many times by the University
Faculty as well as the students for his academic activities at the
National University in Mexico City, where he has taught for twenty-three
years and at the Unversidad Iberoamericana where he taught for 10
years.
Rosen has designed numerous
important public facilities, e.g. an embassy, several museums, a
cultural center, Olympiad facilities, etc. The Centro Cultural Center
in Tijuana is one of Mr. Rosen's most visible delights
visited by a million visitors a year. In June, the Museum of Latin
American Art in Long Beach, a contemporary museum for Latin Art,
opened in the emerging East Village Arts District. Mr. Rosen designed and
worked on this project for eight years. Other accomplishments include
both high and low-rise office buildings and many residential projects.
Mr. Rosen has been a
consultant in Mexico and Japan. His works have been widely published
in the Americas and Europe. He has lectured in Israel, Canada, California
and has represented the national AIA in Mexico and Argentina.. |
