Paul Johnson graduated
from Texas A & M University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Environmental
Design. In 1984 he was licensed to practice architecture in Texas.
In 1989, he had the good fortune to join the office of Robert D.
Ferris, F.A.I.A. and with his assistance, Paul developed his appreciation
of historic structures further. Through community involvement and
continuing education, he sought to better himself in the preservation
field. Paul has served as the founding chair of the Historic Preservation
Special Interest Group of the local American Institute of Architects,
board member and Vice President of Save Our Heritage Organization
(SOHO), President of the El Centro Historic Site Foundation, Chair
of the Old Town Design Review Committee and Vice Chair of the County
of San Diego Historic Sites Board. In 1994, Paul became a partner
in the firm and in 1998 he became the full owner and renamed the
firm Johnson & Johnson Architecture. Samples of projects are:
